The current holder of the Orange Cap for the Indian Premier League 2024, Virat Kohli, increased his lead at the top of the Orange Cap standings with his eighth century in the Indian Premier League on Saturday when he played in the match for Royal Challengers Bengaluru against Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur.

Kohli’s 100 ranks him in third position on the list of top T20 hundreds made by openers, behind the only Chris Gayle (22) and Babar Azam (11) in the rankings.
Chris Gayle, a former Kohli’s teammate from Royal Challengers Bangalore, is currently in second position with six triple-figure scores. The most notable is his 175 in the match score against Pune Warriors India, the most impressive score a batter has ever scored in one Indian Premier League innings. Kohli is the world record holder, scoring eight hundred. This was also the fastest hundred in record books of the Indian Premier League, coming from just 30 balls. While Ab de Villiers, Sanju Samson, and Shubman Gill each scored three hundred, David Warner, Shane Watson, Shane Watson, David Warner, and KL Rahul all had four hundred each.
